AGA Rangemaster backs the GREAT Campaign

2012 is a great opportunity to showcase Britain's incomparable ability to combine heritage and innovation. At AGA Rangemaster we hope to play our part in getting this message across internationally by supporting the GREAT Campaign.

The GREAT campaign is designed to promote the UK abroad and aims to deliver long-term economic benefits from the unprecedented level of interest generated by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The campaign has been developed by Department for Culture, Media and Sport on behalf of the Prime Minister and offers a chance for the whole world to discover everything the UK has to offer as one of the best places in the world to live, work, visit, invest and do business.

Cooking is AGA Rangemaster's specialist subject. Great food relies on three things: ingredients; recipes; heat.  The third is an engineering question, to which AGA and Rangemaster cookers provide the very best solution to ensure Food is Great Britain.

"Queen Anne granted a patent in 1707 for a new way to cast iron cooking pots, a catalyst to the industrial revolution. Queen Victoria presented us with medals for excellence for our cookers and iron sculptures at the 1851 Great Exhibition. Now we have a flexible, touch-screen AGA with ovens that can be turned on and off remotely by a smartphone. A great history and still cutting edge - Britain all over."

William McGrath, Chief Executive, AGA Rangemaster.
